Do you live a face-paced life? Do you find that there are too many things to do and too little time to do them? Do you ever feel stressed out? Who doesn't, right?
If this sounds like you, then be sure to take time out of each day to relieve stress. Managing stress is important for our health so it's a great idea to find something easy that you can practice everyday to help keep your stress at bay. Tried and true techniques like yoga or meditation are wonderful but that may not be "your thing". Here are some tips to try. Incorporate a few of these into your regular routine and see if they help relieve some tension:
1. Take a few minutes to focus on DEEP breaths.
2. Set limits - don't say "yes" to everything.
3. Listen to some music that you love.
4. Drink a cup of tea.
5. Stretch.
6. Sex. (That's right, we said it. Get those endorphins going.)
7. Write in a journal.
8. Exercise. Make time for a daily walk.
9. Ask someone for a mini-massage.
10. Play with your pup.
According the the Mayo Clinic, practicing relaxation can help to lower blood pressure, increase blood flow to major muscles in your body and help improve concentration. We are also told that your ability to relax will improve with practice. So start today and make sure to make time for yourself EVERY day.

Meg

'Tis the Season
Well, I have to say that I have been Slack! with a capital "S" on the blogging front, among other things. This blog is such a fun way for me to talk to myself and others about all of the fun things going on. I have let a busy season slip away! May I start my New Year's resolution early and start blogging again now?
Alright then...well...we did get a "dusting" of snow this weekend which is a rare occurrence here in central NC. I am just now getting into the holiday spirit this year and have so much to be thankful for! I just went to two Christmas parties last night and saw some wonderful friends that I hadn't seen in a long time.
One of those parties was hosted by an old friend of mine who co-owns a wonderfully successful wedding invitation and stationary business right here in the heart of North Carolina. Check out The Green Kangaroo (www.tgkdesigns.com). I remember when she was just getting her feet wet with her business and now see that her business is winning awards and keeping her busy all of the time! She actually created invitations for my husband and I's wedding and they were so beautiful that we had friends asking for her company's name so that they could use them as well!
Over the past several months we have been getting our feet wet, so to speak, with an up and running tea business. Our sights are set and we look forward to achieving the same online success as our friends at The Green Kangaroo. We have experienced the expected challenges of marketing an online tea business. We have also been very pleased and proud of the responses from our customers so far. Thanks to all of our friends and our online community for making this a really great year for our family at Breezy Point Tea Company! Right now, our most successful marketing tool has been word-of-mouth so a big "THANK YOU" to all of you for helping us to spread the word!
As of today, we still have the FREE SHIPPING offer so be sure to order some tea today.

Breezy Point Tea Company Supports the Walk for Hope
Well this is the season we have been waiting for - relief from the hot North Carolina weather and the start of the football season. We are so pleased with our progress so far this year and very thankful for everyone's support. Speaking of support, we are really looking forward to our first experience being part of a charitable event.
Breezy Point Tea Company has formed a team to walk in the Walk for Hope on Sunday, October 11th. Mental illness has affected those that we know and love in many ways and I’m sure you know someone who has been affected as well. We plan to join thousands of others who will participate in the 21st Annual Thad and Alice Eure Walk for Hope. The Walk for Hope is 10k walk that raises funds to promote scientific research into the causes, cures and to discover more effective treatment of mental illness. These illnesses include but are not limited to schizophrenia, anorexia, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, bipolar disorders, autism, anxiety disorders, post-partum depression, and social phobias. It is estimated that one in four people are affected by some type of mental illness and we feel that it is important to help provide funding for this cause.
We are excited to announce that those who make a contribution to our team will be entered to win a great gift basket from Breezy Point Tea Company! Any amount will help this worthy cause. Making a contribution now is easy - just click on this link and use our team captain's walker code of "mmacnabb": http://www.walkforhope.com/donate.aspx?TheCode=mmacnabb
If you live near the Triangle area in NC, we also would love for you to join our team and walk with us in Raleigh on October 11th! Invite your family, friends and neighbors to join our team, too. Come walk with us and then enjoy the food, drink and fellowship under the beautiful new shelter at the Angus Barn. Send us a note through our website if you have any questions (http://www.breezypointtea.com/contact_us.html). The FAQ's on the Walk for Hope website may answer your questions as well (http://www.walkforhope.com/faq.aspx )

Grand Opening! Free Shipping!
We are celebrating the Grand Opening of Breezy Point Tea Company this month!
Free shipping on ALL ORDERS in August! Woohoo!
After lots of hard work, research, travel, ordering and organizing, we are officially open! We are a small online tea company based out of North Carolina. We sell premium teas, teaware and accessories. These items can make a great unique gift for someone who has never enjoyed this affordable luxury!
We are very excited to bring more great premium tea options to the Triangle area and to the online neighborhood. We feel that tea is an experience rather than just something that you drink. I, myself, am a reformed coffee drinker and I have my husband to thank for turning me on to premium tea. This wasn't any old tea like you get in a teabag that he was drinking. It was whole leaf tea - I had never even seen it before but I fell in love with the experience. I also felt like I was treating my body better when I drank these premium teas as opposed to coffee.
The other thing I love is that my stepdaughter loves tea, too! She is interested in having tea as a family - making a pot of tea as we sit down to watch a movie or play a game. She likes trying all of the different kinds of tea and I love that she can handle the tea without milk or sugar. Most kids want the sugar-laden drinks but she is a true tea soldier at 10 years old!
Some of our teas, such as the stronger chai and black teas, can stand up to milk - and sugar or honey can be added to any of them, but we do like to enjoy our tea naked - and by naked I mean with no milk or sugar added. The long term benefit of drinking your tea naked, in addition to tasting the depths and intricacies of each tea (similar to wine tasting), is that you aren't adding any calories or artificial sweeteners to your drink.
Please check us out today and try some of our tea! Our Strawberry Summer, a delicious white tea, is on special this month and is truly a treat! We hope you visit our online store at www.BreezyPointTea.com

Tweet, tweet...
Did you know that you can find Breezy Point Tea on Twitter? You can find us under the name "BreezyPointTea". Come tweet with us! http://twitter.com/BreezyPointTea
This year has already been full of new beginnings. New company, new blog, new to Twitter. How exciting! What's next? How about a survey... We would like to take an informal survey if you will share by commenting on this blog: If you already enjoy loose tea, how do you prepare yours? For example, do you use some sort of infuser, an electric tea maker or do you put your loose tea in a tea sachet to steep it?
